I suspect this is because draw power for the most part is unreliable. The starting cards and early unlockables tend towards faster decks. There’s slow burn cards, but they appear mid to late in the unlockables tree. There’s also quite a few boons that will tip the scales generously in your favor. Many will heal you a couple points for something you can do for pretty much every turn, and some may even adds a stack of a permanent damage buff that’ll only clear at the end of the match.
