You pick one of the several characters and proceed through a series of brief stages in which you engage in top-down Musou battles. Following each stage, you can choose a new path with a particular power-up reward, pick a new partner to join you, or alter your formation. You will encounter the boss of your region after a few predetermined steps. At the moment, the game has four main sections. You can use your profits to upgrade from a massive skill tree after completing a loop.
